The 6.3 is se rca plug. Xlr is a 4 pin xlr plug. Se plug is not balanced. So one needs a 4 pin balanced cable to boot to plug into a balanced output

Not complete info…. Most amps have a switch from rca to xlr. RCA is always se xlr always balanced. This does not mean rca se is converted to xlr balanced via a switch. Or visa versa
