At one of the NYC CanJams I had a chance to sit down at the Meier Audio booth and discuss Mk1 of the Soul with Jan. I'm not sure which was more impressive: the Soul itself, one of the most far-reaching AIO designs one could imagine; or Jan's extensive theoretical knowledge of audio design (the man is an audio scientist).
All to say this is one one of those monumental components that's so feature-rich and design-intensive as to defy reviewing. Yet you covered just about everything we need to know about the Soul: the features as well as the sound on various headphones and the subjective effect of the sound. An excellent review!
