I used the 1/4" output @Low impedance setting for everything. It just sounded more solid and foundational to me that way.

There's no power penalty for doing so, even though you get more volume out of higher imedance settings and the XLR output. This amp has crazy power, more than enough for anything I've tried on it, so power just isn't a deciding factor (at least for me).

Just did my 3rd or 4th head-to-head listening session of the Caldera Closed vs Caldera Open on the ZMF Aegis, and I can't tell you how crazy good that combo is. And this is with stock tubes. The Aegis is way beyond good (and so are the Calderas!).

How long are y’all finding the Aegis takes to warm up and sound it’s best? As I recall, my Quicksilver used to take about 20-30 minutes.
