Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
I would agree on the 2/64 being great for gaming. I notice more detail with it over my creative cards. I also found a BF2 of module and bought it. I had found initially my ragnarok 2 to seem to suck the bass out of my speakers. However once I started comparing I really missed the detail of the...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
So a small update on my madness. Had my partner (and kids came for a bit) come down and listen between the amps. All 3 preferred the Ragnarok 2 with the BF2/64. While my partner agreed that the bass ( and whatever you would call synth) in some songs was different they all liked the clarity...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
Spent afternoon yesterday with no distractions comparing as best I could. Loves the Rag 2 with my headphones, easily the best they have sounded. Again with my speakers though I just kept coming back to feeling that vocals were dominating tracks and I was missing some bass I guess. I also fired...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
I have pretty basic HP with the drop 58x. I didn’t have any real complaints with them but I rarely use them. I don’t even think there is a real issue other then I think the amp is just maybe not quite the match with my speakers which lack bass somewhat. The quad (and the little SMsL ao200 I had)...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
So I snagged the just an amp and have had it about a week now. I have a Bifrost 2/64 and Triangle Comete 40th speakers. First of all I love the volume precision of this amp. The last few amps I’ve had and have seem to go quiet to loud quickly, build is great as well. I think I’m having a hard...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
I actually asked about the fully loaded and they are not out of stock, just something needing to be fixed before they go back on sale. Guess it was a whole batch they found some issue.- valkyrieorion

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
So I have been blind testing my BF 2/64 with the dac in my quad vena 2 (ESS 9018k2m). I’m really struggling to hear a difference other then I find the Bifrost slightly more detailed and pleasant sounding with cymbals. This really started because I wanted to test my vena against my Smsl ao200...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Yeah I love the idea of just less cables at my desk for sure. Way more than I need in my office but essentially it’s the same price as 2 ghorns and a pre amp. I more didn’t wanna get anything until the winter when I renew my contract with work.- valkyrieorion

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I’m so torn on getting the Ragnarok 2. A little part of me is like I wonder if they would do something with the gjallahorns into an integrated setup. Or is 2 ghorns and a Jotunheim or Kara better at a desk vs the Rag 2. I’ve been sitting with a buy now for an hour lol.- valkyrieorion

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
Aww man I really didn’t want another purchase this year but this is a hard one to pass up. Trying to justify how it will sound better to my partner over SMsL ao200 for my office setup. I don’t even know but I’ve just wanted a rag 2 for a while. Of course I said no more big purchases this year...- valkyrieorion

NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety - Impressions Thread
Bought one of these used and am really happy with it. I don't use HP all that much but it's nice when the kids or partner are playing something in the same room. Connected to my BF2/64 and Sennheiser/Drop 58x. I actually really liked it gaming especially as it is a real step up from my onboard...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
Question for anyone using one of the brackets you can get from Etsy to stack a bifrost and another Schiit device. I was thinking of getting one just to raise the Bifrost up off my desk itself, just wondering if they would be stable still, I don't want to stack anything on top of the Bifrost...- valkyrieorion

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
Thanks for your input. I feel like the 58x is probably the way to go just because I’m not going to use the HP a whole lot over my speaker setup in the end. Just some evenings I wanna crank the volume a bit and can’t and having a nice set of HP would be good. But this is like 2-3 times a month...- valkyrieorion

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
I'm really torn on getting the 58x or the 660s(it's on sale where I live but still ends up being double the price over the 58x roughly. I don't use my HP that often but would like something for the evening when either casually gaming or listening to music. Schiit BF 2/64 is my dac and amp is JDS...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
Thanks this helped me solve the issue (I think!). Waiting for it to fully cycle it's power up and make a clicking noise then powering up my PC has had it detecting now constantly. I think I wasn't waiting long enough when I tried powering it up first before.- valkyrieorion

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
BF2/64 arrived and yet again it does not like my PC with USB. It won’t detect unless I unplug the USB cable (it’s a snake oil but I’ve tried a few). Anyone recommend a usb powered hub or just go with the Amazon one or star tech? Also I thought maybe to get a pci usb card instead. I’ve tried all...- valkyrieorion

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
I am going to try my USB -C on my computer as I only have one so maybe it's not tied to the 11 USB-A ports I have on my motherboard. I've tried them all and the Bifrost's just all have the same behavior on each of them even after I disabled the energy management. The C port gave me no problem...- valkyrieorion
