That is no surprise, the same was true for the FA9 and they were almost tuned the same.Just real quick, the FA19 has a uniquely fuller overall sound in the bass and the mids than in the FH9. There is no placebo effect, it's an obvious upgrade. And while there is always certain undeniable warmth to dynamic drivers for bass and sub bass, the four "vented" BA drivers used for bass per channel in each in-ear monitor come eerily close! The timbre, as a whole, is leaning toward warm but make no mistake, this is a very detailed nuanced earphone. FYI: I purchased this on my own with no discount of incentives. These are strictly my very initial impressions. I am unsure if I like these earphones over my Thieaudio Monarch MKIII yet, but they sound different. And I still enjoy the sound of the FH9, and a few others that I will mention later, but I see this one becoming a top favorite.
