FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Got my scarlet mini this week after waiting about 90 days. They sound great. Lots of bass, but also really good resolution. I was skeptical because of my experience with other basshead iems (with the exception of z1r, which has great resolution). These are better than iema like the legend X or...- JoshG1217

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!
Any luck? My left one keeps distorting. It's the go pods, not the iems. Can't seem to fix it. On my 2nd pair. First one was even worse.- JoshG1217

Hey guys, Need to sell my dx320 with amp14. It's the best DAP that I have owned, including the dx300, which I was unimpressed by. This is legit though. Hasn't seen much travel, as it sits on my night stand. Runs all my iem's great. Ran dt 700 pro just fine, but have not tried it with much...- JoshG1217

New DAP: iBasso DX240 vs 300 vs Shanling M6 Ultra vs Fiio M15S
I would bet r6 pro ii is similar to m15s. It's nearly as good as my dx320, to the point where I'm not using at the latter nearly as much. The dx240 has terrible software and feels cheap compared to m6u. M6u has better software, build, and resolution, with a warmer tone. Dx320 has better...- JoshG1217

New DAP: iBasso DX240 vs 300 vs Shanling M6 Ultra vs Fiio M15S
Hiby is generally warm, but pro ii is pretty neutral. detail retrieval is really solid. Dx320 is a tad wider, butbother than that, not sure I could tell the difference in a blind test- JoshG1217

New DAP: iBasso DX240 vs 300 vs Shanling M6 Ultra vs Fiio M15S
As an r6 pro ii owner, it's a good dap. Battery life is my only complaint. It sounds nearly as good as my dx320 with amp 14 at half the cost. So it sounds much better than dx240. I owned the dx240 twice and sold it both times. It's meh. The m6u was a much better package for the same cost. R6 pro...- JoshG1217

iBasso DX320 vs. HiBy R6 Pro II (Gen 2)
Having both now, I agree they are pretty similar. I have amp 14, so warmth between the two is pretty similar, but might favor ibasso slightly. The r6 pro ii is pretty balanced for hiby, which is known for warmth. The 320 sounds legit amazing. I've owned a couple dozen daps and it's the best by...- JoshG1217

iBasso DX320 vs. HiBy R6 Pro II (Gen 2)
Bass has a little more presence with amp 14 on the dx320, but it is close. DX is not portable though. Bigger than my phone. R6 pro is about the same size as a phone, so the r6 does represent a good solution for on the go with minimal compromise.- JoshG1217

iBasso DX320 vs. HiBy R6 Pro II (Gen 2)
SO , listening to these 2 daps right now back and forth. I don't know that I can tell the difference in terms of SQ, which is a huge compliment to the r6 pro ii, since it costs half as much. DX320 might be slightly wider, and might have slightly more refined treble, but not sure I could say that...- JoshG1217

ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
Well, in terms of bass and space, the Z1R checks those boxes and does it far better, as far as staging and resolution go. Not super comfortable, but ahead of their time, and they still compete well despite being 10 plus years old at this point.- JoshG1217

ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
Evo vs legend x? Haven't heard the evo, but every other empire ears I've heard has been overpriced compared to the innovative stuff coming from China. Same wirh ie900 and andromeda. I'd take the blon03 over either of them.- JoshG1217

ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
I'm listening to my thieaduio prestige (og, not ltd) and I think these didn't get neslry enough love. Just picked up the new Hiby R3 gen ii and these sound really good together. Obviously, they sound even better on my dx320, but these just didn't get much love. Sure, they are V shaped, but for...- JoshG1217

iBasso DX320 vs. HiBy R6 Pro II (Gen 2)
I didn't have any special tricks. I just clicked the "enable" button at the top and then played with the sliders until I got the sound I wanted. I enable the eq also so that I have even more options to play with. Mseb is just an eq in essence. If you didn't notice it, try changing the settings...- JoshG1217

iBasso DX320 vs. HiBy R6 Pro II (Gen 2)
Mseb does indeed work wirelessly as it is an EQ, but a DAP has no value wireless as a whole. Over Bluetooth, there is no advantage over a phone. An audio player only uses its hardware when you used with cables, as it converts the digtal signal to analog (hence the name DAC-- digital to analog...- JoshG1217

iBasso DX320 vs. HiBy R6 Pro II (Gen 2)
Looks like you sold the hiby. Can you tell me your experience? I have the dx320 as well, which is a great player, but not remotely portable, which is why I was thinking about the r6 pro ii.- JoshG1217
