Meze Audio 109 Pro

Guys, I bet this has been covered before, but could someone suggest a good 4.4 cable for the 109, preferrably copper. I looked at the original Meze offering, but at 300€ it is just a bit too much. I'm willing to spend up to 100€.

Just received one of these yesterday.

I used to be sceptical about ordering from AliExpress, but I've now done it three times in the last month without any issues.

The 4.4mm balanced cable for the 99 Classics works just as well as the “silver” version

$79 CDN at Headphonebar.com

Or check Amazon

Before spending a lot of money, consider one of the finest and more balanced open headphones under € 2000, the Neumann NDH-30 at € 630. Of course try to listen to it first.

Have you ever considered EQ? Look up Equalizer APO (with Peace plugin). Free to use. The YT channel of Headphones.com has some nice tutorials on how to use it.

Thought I would chime in with my experience so far. Love the headphones from a sound quality and comfort (and aesthetically for what its worth). I have had no issues with the treble thankfully. They are also remarkably comfortable (I describe them as a head couch) and feel nice and solid.

Yesterday I noticed something worth mentioning in terms of build. The nice metal end cap that appears to affix the ear cup to band, is actually a painted finish. I noticed some marks on mine, thought it was external, rubbed with my finger, but then scraped a small section with my fingernail and ended up with paint flecks on my finger.

I don't think I am particularly hard on my headphones, they have a hanger off the edge of my desk, only on the odd occasion will they get placed on a desk. Transported in their case. What surprised me was the lack of marring in any other location of the headphones, no dent's or scratches that would imply they have been mistreated otherwise. I figured it would have been on the wood and headphone sockets (due to my swapping cables to and from other headphones with sometimes surprising inaccuracy), but nothing of note in my opinion.

Anyway, I would say its more of a of a long winded PSA that its not the colour of the metal but instead paint. And I suspect the same for the headband attachments as well.

This being my first post I am unable to attach images, so please feel free to check out the below gallery should it be of interest:
