    Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T

    Oh so you did end up buying one?! What do you think! I am really hooked on the sound of this thing. The balance of (tweakable) warmth and detail to me is really satisfying. I love the tonality with the STORM + Sovereign Symphony too despite the hit to technicals and sheer drive.

    It pains me to say it but I was okay with seeing them win again… Arsenal fans can be insufferable at times. I know they’re looking nice now but for some reason they all act like they are gods gift to football and have won so much with Arteta already, it doesn’t make sense.

    I have an IEC-711 clone and have taken several measurements. I also have a Lotoo Mjolnir, AKSP3000T, Quloos MUB1 and Subtonic Storm + NightJar Sovereign Symphony and Blue Hour 4W cablethat you can listen to if you ever wanna make the trek north. 😂 the rest of my gear are CIEMs.

    Heat index in Houston came close to 115 degrees a few times already. ITS NOT EVEN JUNE. I hate it so much.

    I purchased the additional black SP3000T with the kick stand. I’ll report back if that kick stand is annoying or adds too much bulk which is my concern. It looks much nicer than this yellow though so there’s that! I am still loving the sound of this DAP. Hybrid level 1 or 2 with high current...

    Yes I believe with D4 filter I was able to add a little bit of bite and extension but it still wasn’t quite what I look for up top. I had gathered that maybe DX180 wasn’t quite aiming for that either. Thanks for the feedback!

    If my reference point told me DX260 was too smooth in the treble region, where does DX180 sit relative to this? @stephenkostas @DiFazio

    I am not sure I agree with this, for some of us the social aspect of it is what’s keeping us around. If I had no “head fi friends” I would have been out of here a while ago truthfully speaking. There’s a lot of people here I know on a personal level now and chat with more than I do with my “IRL”...
