Maybe I’m mistaken but shouldn’t there be a headphone amp connected to the Bifrost? That’s where the volume control would be. If you’re connecting your headphone directly to the laptop I don’t think you’re using the Bifrost at all in that config.

If you didn’t have any I’d say go for the CC but since you already own the VC the AC will give you greater contrast. Man talk about looking like a secret message with these abbreviations lol. The design of the CC is striking in person though.

If this was one of the prototype cables during their November sale then it’s most likely the Michanikós cable from their DIY line. I also bought one and it looks similar to this.
