Blue Hawaii BJT with upgrades. Uses 4 EL34/6CA7 tubes

The Blue Hawaii was also specific designed for the 007. Don't have to buy the BHSE. Can find one used if you really look.

Maybe you would prefer the Lambda series so L300/500/700mk2. There is a popular audio reviewer ZReviews. He says he prefers the Lamba series because the 007/009 sound like "regular headphones" to him.

Just got my CRBN back from Audeze, fully refurbished. Sound great. When people say they sound "dark" or have a "small soundstage" I wonder if they just got a bad pair? Or a real bad amp pairing? Dunno. I would never call these dark:

I thought about picking up the Jade II amp, I found one on eBay for $600 shipped. Good deal for a backup amp. I emailed Hifiman and they give out like no info on how much power it gives. Neither RMS like Stax nor "stator to stator" like others. I decided to pass based off of that. Hifiman...

Debating if I want to drive the 4 hours to this.....I could get a hotel room the night before. That is what I did my last meetup so I didn't have to drive all one day.

Or at least that is what high end amp makes want you to think. Similarly someone in the estat thread said you need to "set aside $5,000 for an estat amp". Don't need to spend that much

I went to two different meetups in 2023. Someone had I think the M1070 but it may have been the 1060. Anyway, I really liked it out of my setup. I got to let the owner hear an "authentic" Audeze LCD-2 with Fazors for the first time ever so that was nice.

In my experience the leather-free pads currently offered on Audeze website are the best pads, don't think I ever tried the vegans tho

Anyone tried any real 6CA7 tubes with this amp? I'm trying to get ideas for my Blue Hawaii which uses the same tubes.

I agree, Arya V2 was my daily driver for years...............till the left channel went out while I was watching YouTube. I got a great deal on an Arya Organic. I must say the Organic has grown on me and I prefer it now.

Excellent headphones! People say they are bass shy, this is only with the included amp, for some reason any audio <200 hz is heavily EQed down with the Koss amp. As soon as you plug these into any other electrostat amp(via adapter) they reach their full potential and are in the same league as...
