One thing my "new" CD player has done is it's forced me to listen to my headphones unequalized. So with the SASH Tres for example, I can either anguish over the relatively soft upper mids and smoothed treble, or I can just settle down, accept the sound signature for what it is, and appreciate...

Can't you do this by cascading multiple 2-into-1 USB switches? You'd need a bunch of them and the whole setup would be a bit complicated to use, but it would get the job done.

So I've had my current Head-Fi setup for 12-18 months (depending which specific piece of gear we're talking about) now, and I've listened to this album numerous times via streaming platform - both Spotify and Deezer. But ... this is the first time I'm listening to the old CD I bought sometime...
