    1.4k wow...dayum best way to understand the value of the amp, is to show another manufacturer the passive components, in this case output transformers and the choke..power. Then kindly ask them what a amplifier with this kind of quality transformers , what a similar amp from them would cost...

    V7 Vivid,linear , hard hitting,slight presence effect ( tones down after burn in) vs V7 Classic , more saturated, heavier on even order harmonics, slight roll-offed on both ends,pushes mids forward

    Midrange is open and detailed. nice amount of even order harmonics without being too over colored.

    There is a substantial difference and everyone can hear. details, cleaner sound, blacker background, more linear sound, slight presence effect..gives cymbals more crash etc

    Heed Canalot thread

    see if i can revive some interest in this amp. short story; i had some discrete op-amps which had no use. They did not work for my taste in my Burson Audio products i own. That got me thinking, was it possible toi change the op-amps in the Heed Canalot ( which was collecting dust after no use)...
