Got the Aviots today. The bass is definitely underwhelming at first, but I did boost the three lowest frequencies with the EQ and it's overall a nice sound. Still gotta do a lot more listening but it is missing a touch of rumble even with that for my personal tastes. Wavelet and a 1.2db bass...

I'll be selling my like new Pilgrims shortly. For my ears I knew I should have waited for the Noir, but my impatience got the best of me.

I like a quality metal finish. It's timeless fashion wise and looks sleek and pleasing. Will never get old to me. It's a classic for a reason. Except gold. That's tacky.

Tomorrow is a discovery day for me. The Aviot ZX1 TWS which I ordered in early May, shipped and are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, from Japan. The Penon Voltage, ordered just last week, is also scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, from China. What a lovely coincidence and merry discovery day...

The Volur sound perfect to me in the ways the U4s failed in the mids.

I liked the U4s bass, and I only buy DD bass units. I found the mids lacking in the U4s, just not enough coherency in busy tracks. The U4s had one DD, one BA for mids, I think one BA for highs, and then their TIA driver for the top of the frequency range. This is based on memory.

The U4s have DD bass. I also owned them.

Graphs are nice but my test is putting on my favorite playlist for walking my dog, and take him on a half hour walk, and if I start bopping my head and busting out small dance moves, then that's all the graph I need :) and to also add, if I keep them in my ears when I get home from the dog walk...

As long as the zx1 put out a similar volume to the mtw4 I'll be happy. I'll find out tomorrow as DHL expects delivery tomorrow at my home for the aviots

I think according to the graphs on Elysian's own website, the Pilgrim has slightly more sub-bass than the Noir. perhaps the Noir sounds bassier as their overall presentation is warmer?

Apparently my voltage cleared customs here in NYC so I'm hoping to get them soon. I gotta temper the hype and just enjoy the sound hopefully.
