Thanks...Spiral is not working for me, just amplifies the shouty mids. Didn't try any Spinfit though.- cfc7

Tansio Mirai Impressions Thread
Just got the TSMR Feat and out of the box, nothing seems too great. The bass seems a little bit dull, mids a little bit shouty and the overall sound a bit off. Don't like the stock cable and the eartips. Will try other cables. Any recommendations for eartips which can improve the sound a bit?- cfc7

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
I've had many problems with Harman tuned IEMs, as I found the vocals being too upfront and shouty and the lower mids too lean, so I'm not a fan. That's why I found the IE900 sounding great with metal.- cfc7

Nice comparison, even if I like the IE900, Xelento always tempted me considering the warm signature. Which one would you pick for a deeper, more textured bass and more emotional vocals?- cfc7

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
Whether is worth paying the price for IE900, only you can decide. For me, IE900 was clear better than IE600. Better bass, better midrange - I found the (generally criticized) dip being ideal for metal, while the IE600 sounded too shouty here. For the highs, again IE900 is the winner, more...- cfc7

The PENON official thread
Thanks for these useful details! Lower mid warmth and 6khz dip seems to suit my preferences, I'm sensitive to upper mids forwardness and I almost always use the EQ for 6 khz. On the other hand, I also like a lot of bass (done right) and the Feat is more tempting for the better texture and bass...- cfc7

Nightjar Singularity
These IEMs grabbed my attention more and more lately. Can someone compare them with IE900 for metal? I'm very sensitive to the upper mids forwardness and I found the IE900 sounding ideally for metal due to their dip. I don't like shouty vocals or too much in my face.- cfc7

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
Better due to Harman...maybe...for those who like the Harman, I'm not a fan. I've tested both extensively and ended up liking the IE900 a lot more just because I'm sensitive to the upper mids and treble area and IE600 was too shouty for me. They also were lacking the bass quality of the...- cfc7

Warm/V-shaped high end recommendation
They are indeed more refined, have more and better sub-bass and are safer in the upper-mids area where IE600 are a bit shouty for me. One of the best dynamic driver, the only cons being the price.- cfc7

New Sony Walkman NW-A300 Series (Android 12)
I've just tested an A306 (EU model - volume cap) and although the volume was enough for some easy to drive IEMs, the sound was somehow lean and almost lifeless, lacking a lot of dynamics compared to even older models without the volume limitation. Is it possible that the overall sound to be...- cfc7

I'm using a balanced cable with a 3.5mm 4 pole TRRS plug vs 3.5mm TRS, the regular one. As I said, I'm just getting a slightly better sound.- cfc7
