Yes, in series. Sorry. A typical 12AU7 -> 6922 (or 5670) adapter will have the heater connections wired in parallel so that the tube works on 6.3v. If that wiring is the same for the 7AU7, the tube will be wired for 3.5v and be hit with 6.3v from Vali. I'm no electrical expert on these things...
