Wow, you may be the only other person I've ever run across who knows these albums and artists. Both are fantastic, as are Dusan's other albums too. Not to everyone's taste, but very musical and often beautifully performed.

That was a really great review. The detailed comparisons with Lina are helpful for many reasons. I'm committed to the Bartok APEX, but if I were in the market this review would be very informative for both products.

Excellent! I'm sure you will enjoy it. I hope you don't have to wait long. Is yours APEX? Prior to the Bartok I had a Resolution Audio Cantata Music Center (V3) which was super fantastic (still on hand for CD use if I ever get inclined again), but the Bartok is a notable step up.

Quick update: after many hours the Bartok APEX upgrade is sounding amazingly fantastic! Loving it. The change is obvious and enjoyable. I complained about the tired upgrade pricing (in the US) but I finally did it and I have no regrets.

FWIW I finally talked myself into the Bartok APEX upgrade and it is a clear - and very nice - improvement. I have done a lot of research and I've decided to pass on adding a clock (my dealer offered a demo too). I'm sure it brings further improvements, but in my case I'm perfectly satisfied...
