Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE
I assume you have already cycled power of DI-24HE. If not, do it now. 1. Unplug DI-24HE USB cable. 2. On Windows go to the Control Panel (not a Device Manager) and uninstall the existing Amanero driver. 3. Run setupuac2.exe file and follow prompts. There are two parts: for a Windows interface...- sajunky

LHY UIP USB audio isolator
This is a lowest price I saw! There is a new isolator in a smaller package, but PCB seems to built on the same concept. It has USB type C input, it is not what I do prefer, but convenient for Macbooks and ultra slim notebooks users. Only $27 which is surprising given what is inside. Posted...- sajunky

LHY UIP USB audio isolator
Seen a photo of a fragment of PCB. It looks transparent - two sides only without a solid ground plane between. It is acceptable for $50 product. Even the model you found for $80 had four layers board.- sajunky

Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE
Problem is, we have been using driver 1067 for years with a standard firmware CPLD_for_1080. See a yellow marks on a screenshot. There is a note on the bottom that links to the same 1067 driver which hasn't been updated. This driver do not enable DSD512 on Windows! If Audio GD started to supply...- sajunky

Something has changed. Did you buy DI-24HE before 25th April? EDIT: I keep a link to the old page, that provide links to the two different drivers for Windows, but can't advise any further, just for a reference: http://audio-gd.com/Firmware/AmaneroforLinuxEN.html- sajunky

:) Not. Use it with Windows or Linux as you like. Just with Windows load a different driver than you use now.- sajunky

LHY UIP USB audio isolator
This is common mode filter. The best use is at the receiving side. This is equivalent of Ifi Defender. The best use as per Ifi instruction. None of them are isolators. For the latest high-speed isolators look at Douk Audio U2Pro poorman DDC thread.- sajunky

You can boot Windows from a separate partition. Or just keep a hard drive and install Linux on the new hard drive. Then swapping hard drives is a safe method. Other than that: - You don't use Blaster for flashing Amanero firmware. Only for flashing motherboard firmware. Follow a flashing...- sajunky

You are absolutely right, a balance is in between. Higher sampling rate increases jitter proportionally. However I need to give credit to @naynay. There is a special case with Delta-Sigma DAC's, where only a specific sample rate allows bypassing internal DAC oversampling engine. HQPlayers fans...- sajunky

A final result is important. Sound quality, not numbers. I know, you need PCM 768kHz which is optimal for your Delta-Sigma DAC. But do PCM 768kHz sounds better than DSD512 in your DAC? That is a big question and seriously... doubtful. But a DSD512 is available with DI-24HE.- sajunky

LHY UIP USB audio isolator
It blocks noise on the isolator and regenerate signal. Audio jitter or USB timing jitter? If the later, yes. Isolator chip recreate timing and it seems there is also on-board USB 2.0 hub chip that fully regenerate complete USB frames. We can talk about audio jitter once synchronous datastream...- sajunky

Audio-gd R2R DAC Thread
That is perhaps in our brain, but I didn't experience such long term degradation. What I do experience in most of DACs is a fatigue which comes between half an hour to few hours of a session. Initial details, separation and harmonic coherency are gone, it is a time to stop listening...- sajunky

Nah, it helps a cable ground potential convert to EMI. It makes it difficult to deal with later. Rule #1. Deal with a source noise at a source before it converts to EMI. Rule #2. Deal with EMI on the receiver side.- sajunky

You can't go wrong with these little devices. There are equivalents to ifi Defender and Purifier. Can be used in series, but there are rules to follow. A Defender type (2nd link) should be plugged directly to the USB host, with the LPS following a rule of minimising surface area between PC...- sajunky

It sounds like an announcement. :) Reading between lines, they have hardware ready for shipment, just waiting for a firmware to be finalised. Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE
It was back in 2020 Ian wrote, it was an assumption. He made it during first experiments based on a general knowledge that USB frame native DSD512 timing is the same as PCM 768kHz. In a consequence after flashing Linux optimised firmware Amanero should support PCM 768kHz too. Wrong! A maximum...- sajunky

For DSD512 you only need to flash firmware optimised for Linux. With no hardware upgrades. For PCM 768kHz wait for an announcement of upgrading DI-24 with Amanero Combo768. I can't guarantee it will happen. Current restriction are specified on the website.- sajunky

Audio-gd DI24/DI24HE
PCM 384kHz limit is related to the Amanero I2S interface limit. It is not USB limit, not drivers, as DSD512 demonstrate it clearly. A weakest part impose restriction to the entire chain. With DI-20 nothing you can do as Amanero interface is integrated with the motherboard. DI-24 is different...- sajunky
