Review by 'RunWithOne' on item 'PENON DOME UNIVERSAL HYBRID IEM'
Do you know that feeling when your wife says with a little blink of her eyes: "Another package has come for you?" Then, to my delight, another new KH or IEM arrived. In this case, Penon made the Dome available to us for a tour. Be careful, the review is a little longer. This always happens to me...- RunWithOne

I currently have the Penon Dome at home to test. Due to our Easter holidays it will take some time until the review is finished. I treated myself to the new Penon Liqueur Series Silicone Eartips and they really turned out well.- RunWithOne

Review by 'RunWithOne' on item 'Penon Turbo'
First of all I would like to thank Penon Audio. She supplies me with the turbo for a tour in Germany. I would like to publish my review here on Head-fi. I used Chat GPT to help with the translation. I hope this doesn't affect readability too much. I became aware of the Penon brand through a dear...- RunWithOne

Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered MMCX connectors for my Tripowin Amber instead of the 2-pin 0.78mm connectors that my IEMs have. Is it possible to exchange the cable? Thank you very much. Even if I have difficulties understanding the differences in IEM cables, I still think that silver, due...- RunWithOne

Thank you for the suggestions. I took notes because the Penon site is currently not available. The V16 has a really good resolution and stage. The 16 stands for 16 BA drivers on each side. Here is the link to original cable: https://www.thieaudio.com/products/thieaudio-smart-cable-1 The sound...- RunWithOne

The imaging and timbre of the V16 itself is fantastic. I would like to describe it in musical-analytical terms. However, the original cable makes the sound too analytical. that makes it sound a bit bland. it is also a silver OCC and it opens the stage a bit. But (too much?) silver removes the...- RunWithOne

I'm currently looking for a cable for the Thieaudio V16 Divinity. I don't like the sound or feel of the standard cable. I used the CS819 in 4.4mm. It sounds very musical, but the separation suffers. I'm currently using Tripowin Petrichor. Which is pretty close to my preference. but perhaps an...- RunWithOne

Could someone please provide me with a hint regarding cable comparisons? I haven't found the desired information yet. In essence, I am looking for something tighter than the CS819 but preferably more musical than the Impact cable. Pure silver is not my cup of tea in terms of sound.- RunWithOne

I hope I can help, this is from the Beyerdynamic Help Center: Breaking in the headphones is not absolutely necessary. Whether a difference in sound can be perceived when using headphones depends on the headphones and individual hearing ability. Even without a break-in phase, it is completely...- RunWithOne

Since I'm from Germany, I once spoke with Beyerdynamic about this topic years ago. They also deny any burn-in effect for their drivers. But, as I mentioned, I don't want to overheat the topic and respect other people's experiences.- RunWithOne

I also had some IMR from R2 Red to Dark Matter. We discussed this in a forum and agreed that, except for the R2's Piezo driver, there were no burn-in effects. For me, there are many other factors that, in my opinion, have much more influence: - daily condition - perfect to poor fit of the ear...- RunWithOne

I don’t believe in burn-in with in-ear or over-ear headphones. In principle, only adjustment effects (brain) and the removal of padding are to be expected with over-ear headphones. I've never read that headphones sounded worse after being "burned in". I find that interesting.- RunWithOne
