This is the way, I think. For now Im content with Excalibur feeding Yggy Unison via USB. But as previously mentioned I will jump on a Schiit DDC if it's priced right and run Unison to Unison via two Excaliburs since Yggy doesnt have I2S. It'd have to be cheaper than the Gustard U18 or Denafrips...

AVConnection has them cheap right now. 1meter version is $94, 2meter is $101. They charge like $20~ shipping irrc, but, no tax if you live outside of EU. And for that paid shipping it arrived fast as Hell. Got mine 2 days after I ordered it and I live in the middle of the country in the US.

Yeah, that's facts. The attention to detail Trevor employs is insane. He was explaining the process to me of how he makes his interconnects and, jeez, he is in there doing double layered mylar foil and tinned braiding by hand lol. No prefabbed shielded wire-off-a-roll for him.

Thats how I felt on my A1 Yggy OG, the optical was just a tiny bit cleaner than the USB Gen 5. But my A2 OG has Unison and they sound identical.

Depends on how much more we talking about. There is NO doubt in my mind that a used $700~ Gungnir MB is a better bargain while being sufficiently good compared to the $1600+~ you can get out of the LiM. I wouldnt go lower than a Gumby though. For me personally I want that extra 10-15% Yggy...

I have galvanic isolation in my Schiit Unison USB but I can still hear a cleaner, more detailed sound out of the Excalibur compared to the basic cable. I don't care why it sounds better but for $100 I consider it a Win.

Mentor comes to life hours 75 & ^^ Mines at around 300+ hours and it's heavy and authoritative AF with nothing but beautiful sound from sub bass to treble with a lovely linearity but also a fullness of sound throughout on Yggy OG. Mentor LOVES Yggy A2's dynamic abilities.

I know one thing, getting a Flux Mentor kills all noise with it's amazing blackness. I hear no grey from my Yggy OG, either.

Urd is the first Unison Out device so Im sure it would be beneficial. Many of us are hoping for a Schiit DDC to fill that use case w/o having to drop $1200. I dont use CDs anymore.
