Hey, so I was trying to modify the "Music" sub-menu to remove the "Album artist" and replace it with "Playlists". However, I'm having issues having to actually having the button function. I managed to get the "Playlists" text on there. The button isn't functional. Any help? Thanks

Ahhh... I understand. I have been able to decompile the update zips hiby provides to customize GUI elemets (they're mostly pngs). I wanted to see if rockbox could expand the customization even further.

No need! I just found out that HiBy provides the firmware for Shanling and other players as well. AND shanling already has a published unpacking and re-packing tool with instructions. I just unpacked the R2 ii firmware and everything seems identical/logical to Shanling theme editing steps...
