Hi Colorado Head-Fi'ers! I can share a little bit more about what Danny is hoping to bring to our June 22 meet. In addition to the Immanis, Magna, and Feliks Envy, he is going to try to bring the new SAEQ Armageddon, and Solaja Audio's soon-to-be-released EL34 (VM1a successor) and 300B amps (both). There is even a slim chance he will be able to bring a Trafomatic Primavera.

I will have all the gear in my signature on hand. (That's one advantage to hosting the meet in my office, as my kit lives in my office).

This meet is going to be ridiculous.

I'll be there! I'd also like to try something that I haven't tried before. I want to do a charity drive with the following:

I moved back to the Denver area a couple years ago only to find that RMAF no longer exists. I'd love to come to this though. If anyone's interested, I could bring any of the following:

Hey guys, wanted to share a formal post on what I can bring to the meet:


First, the exciting news: I was recently able to close the deal on a Schiit Mjolnir 1, which should arrive this Monday. This means we’ll have the opportunity to have the OG Mjolnir side-by-side with the recently released Mjolnir 3!

Unfortunately, I’m going to have send my Lyr+ in for repairs, so it’s TBD for the event. I already have an RA from Schiit, so I’m gonna ship it out ASAP. I think I should get back it within the next 5 weeks, though, so we should be good there

As far as the Lyr+ goes, I have a bunch of 6SN7s I can bring, but also a solid assortment of 6J5/6C5/6P5 tubes that I feel bring the amp to another level. I use an adapter courtesy of @Deyan, definitely contact him for all your needs there

For source-gear, I have the FiiO R7 that I can bring. I also have an Onkyo mini-HiFi system, though I’m not sure how interested people are in an analog setup. Let me know and I’ll bring it.

Wondering if I should bring the Gungnir or just stick with the BF2? I’ve heard the Gungnir has significant warm-up time, though I haven’t really noticed because it stays on at home. Let me know your thoughts on that, too.

Finally, headphones. My ZMF Atrium Closed and HE-500 will probably be the most popular of what I have to offer, but I can also bring the Audioquest Nighthawk (OG-version) and Nightowl, as well as the Blue Ella. I keep my line-up pretty tight.

@MokhaMark had kindly encouraged me to come from out of town to attend this meet and while I'd love to do so, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it, I'm afraid. I hope you all have a great time, it looks like it'll be an incredible meet!

exciting news: I was recently able to close the deal on a Schiit Mjolnir 1

Congrats on the Mjolnir 1. It's a great amp, I miss mine and regret selling it. I suspect it'll work well with the HE-500, although I've not heard that combination. See if you can hear an LCD-2 or LCD-2 Classic from it. I found the latter combination to be an absolute blast. The impact and bass slam were incredible, for one thing. I owned a 1266 Phi with CC pads and the LCD-2 Classic had more slam from the MJ1. For another, the combination's outstanding for gritty, rich textures - lots of reverberations, and if you like alternative rock and electric guitars, you can't beat the crunchy, snarling, growling glory of this setup! PJ Harvey's To Bring You My Love never sounded so good.

The Mjolnir 1's a lot of fun.

Nice score! I've been trying to get an old Mjolnir for a while without luck.

Also, the Gungnir doesn't take long to sound good honestly. I'll also be bringing a BF2.
