Because I'm an anxiety sufferer
I am bothered by the thought that once I pushed the adapters all the way to reduce the gaps, did I cause any damage to the iem or the connectors, do you Thinking I should be bothered by this?

Before I tell you whether it's okay or not, tell me why you prefer it with gaps? Why do you want gaps?

I prefer without gaps, I started pushing the adapters freely and as soon as they stopped I didn't keep pushing them so as not to damage the connectors

Without gaps would be better for mechanical stability. But if you want to have gaps, that's your choice I guess?

this is perfectly fine...relax. I am more worried about all adapters you are using and hence causing greater torque at connector due to distance of weight away from it. Use normal 2 pin cable for longevity

I have tried 10 cables so far on xe6 and I stayed with the rn6 cable. The changes of the cables caused the connectors to weaken in your opinions or is there nothing to worry about?
