May 14, 2024 at 12:18 AM Post #151 of 154
Hi I tried ordering it via that store but they had none available when I was purchasing mine so I went a head and bought directly from shanling website store and requested to value the package at 100$ it was shipped via dhl and arrived in 3days I think. I paid in usd and had 38$ in customs so it not so bad after all.
In total it came to 844 canadians vs 900$ so its even better deal that way…
Thanks for the info will keep it in mind since it looks like it will still be awhile before audioexcellence gets stock.

I'll pop open a cold one and make some snacks and check it out this weekend, looking forward to it!

Edit: great review once again and I did actually have to pause partway through to make a snack. The great thing about your reviews despite the length is you throw in everything including the kitchen sink. I never find myself thinking he forgot to talk about x, y and z cause yah cover the whole alphabet.

It truly looks like an awesome DAP and makes me long for something a little cheaper like an M2 Ultra if it ever comes. The M5 Ultra is overkill for my needs in terms of power and even screen size and I would like a little better battery life. I have funds sitting in a GIC to fund what I thought would be a Cayin N3 Ultra purchase that could be used on the M5 Ultra but they won't mature until next year so a long wait to buy. A Hiby R4 purchase I could swing much sooner but I find myself kind of wanting to wait on a possible R5 gen3. The R4 kind of feels like a tweener DAP, something to live with until something else comes along.

A couple of metal buddies, I listen mainly to metal genres and I can say without a doubt that its perfect for it, specially if you find trebble aggressive or guitars without enough tickness or bass
