I have two open-backs waiting for me at home (598, and a recently-ordered Jupiter One). I also have a 17" gaming laptop capable of some high-speed noisy cooling.
Gaming was definitely not the primary reason for buying either pair, but can I still kinda hope that I can enjoy the open-back comfort and lightness along with the in-game sounds amid turbo fans? In other words, when the fans are in full blast, would open-backs still be a better gaming audio experience than no headphones since the headphone drivers are much closer to my ears?
I'm not trying to eliminate the fan noise altogether; all high performance laptops have crazy loud fans, and if I want to hear zero fans, I would have gotten a desktop. However, I'm willing to compromise on isolation because I want to prioritize comfort for extended wearing.
