129 proof? Man. I'm throwing away the rest of this Jack. Or maybe I'll just finish it off tonight instead.

Dayyum, that is some righteousness right there. The furthest up Bruichladdich's line I've gotten to try is some Octomore which was overpowered in the best way. I long to try a Black Art. Not a beg, mind you.
I got sent a 100ml sample in my last corporate job. Stashed it in the desk and forgot about it. Was a very welcome surprise when I was cleaning it out after the COVID layoff.

Shelf numbers are extremely important and I may just have some amazing birdseye maple set aside for such a build. You know my work, and you might well own more of them than some guy in Oklahoma of all places.šŸ¤ŖšŸ¤Ŗ
Custom work, shelves as needed.

This is current mini stack, plus I'll get a Vali. Will need to think about whether I want to throw a loki mini in there too... will figure out with you in PM's.

It's the house recipe at the distillery I work at. I think it's 2 parts whiskey (rye in this case), 1 part amaro, and 1 part sweet vermouth, garnished with a twist of orange peel.
If youā€™re going by strict cocktail orthodoxy, a Boulevardier should be two parts bourbon, to one part each sweet vermouth and Campari. On the Negroni Family Tree, the rye drink is the Old Pal (1-1-1 Rye, Campari, Dry Vermouth), but Rye Boulevardiers are excellent, so screw orthodoxy (and the best Negroni is a Mezcal Negroniā€¦)

My (not yet) wife and I went to London early '90s. When we were leaving, in the airport, we realized we didn't have a suitable souvenir so we dashed into the duty-free shop and grabbed a Scotch that looked interesting, for like Ā£20-50, we didn't have a lot of money then.

I opened it some 25y or so later and we had a sip and wow isn't wow enough, iykwim.

Then I looked up what it was on the internet. mid four figures. My wife (same person) said, "We drank that?!"
Port Ellen? My funny Scotch story: the bottle portrayed below was sitting on a high shelf in a ratty store in Scotland, pretty much abandoned and getting moisture stains as far as I can tell. The Port Ellen distillery in Islay closed in 1983, and did not reopen except for brief special productions recently. I had another Port Ellen bottle that went a long time ago, before I realized how rare the stuff was.

This is truly disturbing. Even worse, he looks so pleased with himself. I think you should punish him by getting a new one made out of corrugated aluminum.
Lol! Perhaps I just oughta trim his chain saws more often? iā€™m just gonna start calling him the Cardboard Connoisseur, or Cardbord Kid, for short. And heā€™ll call me just plain dumb. Yup, ordered TWO new onesā€¦

If we apply Moore's (not Jason's) Law, we should hit 20k pages sometime around September, 2028. By then, we'll have Vali 7, Tyr 5's, and Schiit toilet paper will be $75 a roll. šŸ¤£

(I know someone will correct my math on this 'cause I also know I suck at math )

Edit: I am
really interested to see how Jason can improve on Vali 3, at least in that chassis size at anything close to the price. There are still things in our universe that are just not possible.
Since you mention Vali 3, which is currently looking somewhat comical atop the rack of 16ā€ Schiit.

Kinda looks like I ran out of money. But this tiny thing is the absolute Schiit. Sounds beautiful!
Must be the red knobā€¦

1. Because I said so.
2. See #1.
3. It's $149. You spent more than that on Finnegan treats last month. šŸ¤£
I second the motion!
