For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

I don’t care if you think it’s cheesy, this entire album is CLASS! As is most of Mancini’s music

The Downward Spiral (1994) by Nine Inch Nails - I wanted to listen to something that would push the limits of the HD800S and this album definitely does that. The expansive sound stage is filled with music, tape loops and sound effects and it sounds absolutely amazing. This, the second NIN album was Trent Reznor at his creative peak, it's a concept album about the mental downward spiral of someone heading towards suicide, so it's pretty bleak but it's also incredibly powerful - it also made him a rock star. The album is really well recorded and the V222 and HD800S pick out every little detail which only becomes overwhelming when the music deems it necessary, like at the end of Big Man With A Gun - it's a fantastic listen but I'm not sure I should have done so just before bed as I am absolutely buzzing. :darthsmile:

Ragnarok 2 -> Atrium Open

This combination has never sounded so good; female vocals and hard-hitting bass lines. 🤌

Just a couple of well-placed EQ filters, and the Sivga Nightingale transform from candlelit delicacies into bass-rich beauties.

Ramona Park Broke My Heart (2022), Vince Staples

With nostalgic, wistful lyrics and retro-smooth beats, this album reminds me that sometimes looking backward is the only way to move forward.
