some wortds about soundstage depth and layering, which is what generally differentiates dac/amps soundwise besides tonality?
TechieFelixLP

Honestly, I don't think I hear anything different between plugging my Zero:Red directly to my phone or listening to them through the BTE-222. Other than the volume getting louder, I think they sound identical. Or perhaps even slightly better ? Great Suggestion bro. I think I'll need more DAC/Amps so I can compare them. I'll definitely post an update once I got a new DAC/Amp.

Pros: ● Quite solidly build resin shell chassis.
● Its compact UIEM-style shell chassis will give a pleasant comfort to wear and provides a good passive noise isolation.
● Decent quality stock cable.
● Tonally well-balanced sounding set.
● Punchy and tactile bass response
● Well-textured, linear and clean midrange.
● Relatively versatile on both male and female vocals.
● Fairly natural sounding on most instruments.
● Somewhat smooth and balanced treble response.
● Not a hint of harshness nor sibilance.
● At least, above average technical performance.
Cons: ● Needs some improvements on its layering aspect.
● More choices of ear tips could be better.
● Ideally, at least above-average up to wide sound/speaker stage size.
● Wishing for more treble air.

New Head-Fier
Pros: - easy to drive
- great technicalities
- good passive isolation
- details, both in high and mid registers
- good accessories in the package: a set of filters, a large selection of ear tips
- holographic sound
- great imaging and instrument separation
- bass with texture, capable of going low
- great strength of notes
- very good macrodynamics for engaging, dynamic playing
- proper pairing (SONY NW-A55) provides organic sounding instruments, more balanced tuning, devoid of treble harshness and overly fatigued bass
- analytical listening
Cons: - analytical listening - not always what you want
- high sensitivity and low impedance - average cooperation with strong sources
- sometimes too energetic
- on most sources, at times bass can get you tired, and treble can irritate with sharpness; sibilants are also possible
- bag instead of case
- plastic fang on the cable (subjective)

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: • Very musical, natural, immersive and refined presentation.
• Sounds very natural and engaging with Instrumental-Vocal music genres like Jazz, Blues, Classical and some Old Rock.
• Great Bass.
• Sweet and Natural Vocals.
• Very natural instrument timbres and great positioning in space.
Cons: • A bit high in price.
• Need an op-amp extender to fit in some audio devices.
In my honest opinion V6 will be really great addition to any audio system, it uplifts sound quality in every aspect compared to other cheaper Op-Amps. In my case compared to OPA1656, OPA1612...

ICYGENIUS

New Head-Fier
Pros: Quite nice looking
It is possible to customize the sound using switches that work well
Excellent weight and depth of sub bass notes
Detailed texture at low frequencies
Mids are punchy and slightly brighter
Very clearly emphasized attacks and transients on the drums, yeah that good
High frequencies have musical tuning without any excessive brightness and enhancement of this area
There is moderate technicality and analytics
The sound stage, although not super wide, has excellent depth, and there is good plane definition and image separation.
Cons: Not the best packaging and a completely ordinary cable, which also gets tangled.
They have a noticeable armature timbre in the midrange

I have Rhapsody.
If this IEM is 4.5 stars - most of other IEMs should be totally off the scale. Devalued/degrading reviewing of free samples (?) Is a big menace (??)
For HeadFi to remain any credible - the reviewers should be governed by the same rules as the "Members of the Trades".

This iem deserves 4,5 stars. Sounds correct and engaging with all of my music. There is nothing wrong, maybe some may want less bass. Notice that kz castor silver has 5 star here.

New Head-Fier
Pros: • ONLY $39.99
• Unique design, compact, and highly suitable for mobile use
• Support Microphone input
• Good quality control resulting in excellent finishing
• Sufficient power for the majority of entry-level IEMs
• Supports multiple OS devices
• Ideal for bass and soundstage enthusiasts
• Within its price range, provides technical quality and sound above its level
Cons: • Unique design may not appeal to everyone
• Requires caution as the dongle attaches directly to the device (without a cable), making it prone to knocks and damage
• Lack of a USB C female to USB C male cable to address the above weakness
• Separation tends to overlap slightly when there are many instruments
• Nothing in this price range

Leonarfd

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Neutral organic sound
Background totally black
Luxurious design with stainless steel and alcantara
Flagship DAP at a good price
Fairly long battery time
Powerful enough for most IEMs and Earbuds
Dynamic and spacious stage
Excellent sub bass texture
Resolving
Clear and extended top end
Natural clear transients
Close to no coloration of sound
Easy to use EQ software that is system wide
Large and HD IPS display
Fast and stable player with Android 12
Good hardware with Snapdragon 665 SOC and 8 GB RAM
Cons: Heavy and large player
Alcantara might have questionable longevity
Could have liked more power
The fabric attracts dust
Neutral sound so it won't tame brighter gear
Gets a little warm on the turbo mode
The applied screen protector doesn't cover the whole display area
Large battery so a Quick Charger is needed for reasonable charging time

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: ● Gorgeous looking resin shell chassis
● Good construction quality on its shells
● It's UIEM-style shell chassis offers a very comfortable fitting and good passive noise isolation.
● Musical and engaging tuning that will enjoyable and pleasing to casual listeners
● One of the few sets will activate LG phones’ high impedance mode (For LG phone users)
● Physical, tactual and authoritative bass response for adherent bassheads.
● Good for tracking on bass-focus instruments.
● Bright and gleaming female vocals, crisp and lively string instruments.
● Somehow can be recommended to treble heads who want a more shimmering and energetic treble response.
● Acceptable technical performance on soundstaging, stereo imaging and resolution capability.
Cons: ● Too coloured sounding in my liking (subjective)
● Absolutely not for neutral heads.
● Meagre amount of accessories.
● Boomy and smudging bass response
● Lean and recessed midrange presentation
● Needs a powerful source like DAPs and dongles with medium and high gain modes or else, it will sound quite lethargic and inadequacies on dynamics.
● Instances of sibilance and some stridency in some tracks.

This review is totally wrong. I'm afraid you confused the headphones sound with your personal taste.
Fuelbass
Fuelbass
Kwsizer maybe you like this headphone soo much that you doesn't want anyone to say something negative about your choice even if it's true. This headphone have Pro in it's name and it's far from it. If someone knows how to read frequently chart which you probably didn't, they'll know how far it is from being neutral. I've better reference headphones in my collection and it's far from them.

It's rather silly to judge and then slam a hp only because they have the "pro" word in their name. Deal with it.

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Wipes the floor with the Apple Dongle
Enhanced stage size, definition and clarity
Plug and play all day long with whatever device you choose
Never even after hours and hours of use any change of OS133 Dongle from room temperature
Due to low currant draw on host device, unusually long battery life expectations
Simple
Cost effective way to get into audiophile playback with IEMs
Maybe the definitive idea of audiophile neutral
Spectacular imaging that will definitely pull you aside from your regular sources, even at home
Crazy transparent
A perfect low-cost gift for the non-audiophile in your life
Portable
Plug-and-play
CX31993 digital audio codec chip and MAX97220 power amplifier chip
Up to 384KHz/32bit sampling rate
One of the single best audiophile values out there
Transparent
Fast
Incredible soundstage with layers of finite definition
Cons: Not powerful enough for full-size headphones
Can be a little large in size especially in 4.4mm balanced, in comparison to the Apple Dongle
Not as thick sounding as some full fledged Dongles, yet detail emerges from such an environment

@0genesis0o,
Here is the surprising thing.......I would have never thought this is so good, as to why I said in the Discovery Thread that is better than some DAPs. I am the last person to ever think a lower powered Dongle could be that great, but the clarity in the top-end got to me.........so much that I had all kinds of other stuff to use, but I stuck with this OS133 Dongle. Maybe it is the OS133 cable material that is bringing the resolution about, I would guess no one does this. I would like to learn if OS133 X2 is used with any other Dongles, or if not what style of cable are they using, maybe it is simply the chip? idk....?
