Excellent headphone but I did find it pretty different in character to the R10, mainly being more V-shaped and not as romantic in the midrange.

Agree that the while the cup reverbs, soundstage and exellence with strings come through, the replica is more V, shaped, however this allows it to work with modern genre's like pop/rock/house etc. whereas the OG was solely for classical!

Agreed that the newer version works much better for modern genres, if maybe not as enchanting for the acoustic stuff. I still like the ES-R10 more than most closed backs, and it's very nicely built.
Nice SR-Omega by the way! That's a very special headphone.
