I agree, the Eros S is excellent - totally worth skipping over Ares and Cadmus for!

So with the question of customs or universal settled, you only need to decide between the Xe6 and Rn6! Nice! 🥰 That's a pretty decent crowd too! @vladbellos would be proud! :relaxed:

I'm totally a customs guy, so I'd go that route anyway - but in this case, it seems like there's an extra compelling reason to go custom for Kinetic Bass units. :relaxed:

THE WATERCOOLER HEADPHONE EDITION – Headphones, Amps, DACs, and desktop/home audio related – a freewheeling discussion of gear, impressions, music, and musings.

But then you wouldn't really own it, and you'd have to travel to ZMF's HQ to listen to it?

Oh, I might have missed that, sorry about that! :frowning2: I'm testing one of the new sizes now (MS) and can confirm that it works better for my right ear. I had a box of the XL tips here too, but didn't open it as it was meant for @Rockwell75. FedEx has it now, but he should have them soon...

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Kinetic Bass port works better with customs, because they can better control its positioning (angle, distance) relative to my concha with customs. They exist, I've seen them! :grinning:

Excellent! :grinning: TBH, I'm generally okay with them using some data to show me stuff. They have, on occasion, shown me useful stuff over the years, stuff that I would not have gone searching for on my own, so it works out I guess? Plus, free email for decades... fair deal for me.

Oh, that's not even spooky. From time to time, I get ads based on things I'm not even into, but have talked to people about on phone calls! :open_mouth:

Spring of 2017 or thereabouts? It's definitely been a while. Google's always tinkering with their algorithms. Who knows what they did? lol, I'm messing witchu! :punch: Clearly those are default clickbaity ads that they show when they have no idea what else to show. I myself tend...

Hey brah, your bread clip fetish is 100% your business. I have nothing to say about that, and the Watercooler is a judgment-free zone. When we first launched the current iteration of the site, some people vehemently complained that we were advertising for dating sites and mail order...

Ooh, that's nice! :grinning: Given that you seem to be into retrofuturism too, I just have to ask, do you ever watch picsnportraits' Sleepcore stuff?

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I haven't heard them together, but yeah I can see how they would be good together. I would imagine that it's got tons of authoritative slam in the low end, with an analog-like midrange?

    Weiss Engineering DAC50x (DAC501 and DAC502) Review

Some people thought I was weird/silly/crazy for doing that. I don't deny being weird, or silly, or even a little crazy... but I stand by using the rear connections! :relaxed:

Here's one for Scubi, as he lists something for sale... ...but then at 0:42, he changes his mind and hugs it instead, welcoming it back into its forever home, again.

Okay Watercoolers, suggest some music for the unboxing of your next IEM... let's go! :relaxed: EDIT - Adding my actual next IEM's name like @AxLvR did: "Eletech Romeo"

    Effect Audio cables thread

 You know what might be good? To have a few people try out every single EA cable, all with the same TOTL IEM, and then have that group put together a combined set of impressions outlining the pros/cons of each one, as well as how they differ. Like an EA cable guide or something. I bet...
