I don't want to go sideways so I might be spending big bucks. I've been looking at Vintage Tube Services out of Michigan but haven't called until I learn more of what I want.- tdadawa

I always wondered if tube microphonics is the same thing as a system sounding toobey and if tube dampers, like o rings, would solve the problem.- tdadawa

Thanks Steve, You might have noticed I slipped on my keyboard and said 6NS7 instead of 6SN7 so I corrected it. Right now my Baldwin 6SN7GTB tubes sound quite toobey compared to my 6922 style tubes I use.- tdadawa

I would like some feedback on the difference in sound between 1940's era RCA 6SN7-VT231 and Sylvania 6SN7-VT231 if at all possible. Right now I'll using Sylvania 6SN7GTB in the late 50's early 60's era.- tdadawa

Musical Paradise M2-D2 AK4490 Balanced Dac Reviews?
Tube rolling is a blast and it sounds like I could add a SS plug in rectifiers to the list. Which one would you recommended because when I check them out they say to be careful might need to change some electronic parts or risk damage to your equipment? I have a mk1 and mk3 deluxe if that makes...- tdadawa

I need to test some 6DJ8 tubes on Sylvania 139 tube tester
I've searched hi and low on the internet and can't find any settings for Sylvania 139 tube tester. I bought the tester not realizing it didn't have a socket for 9 pin tubes. I'm in the process of installing a socket, found the wiring for it, but I can't find the settings for testing the tubes...- tdadawa

MP-D2 MK lll Deluxe relay drops out when touch anything on rack
Okay, I got busy and made a ground cable which I hooked to my stereo rack, did a quick test with very good results. So far the dac works perfectly and no relay dropouts. It looks dangerous because I plug it into the wall outlet but there is only one wire hooked to the ground pin and no wires...- tdadawa

MP-D2 MK lll Deluxe relay drops out when touch anything on rack
The humidity is not that low, I don't notice a static problem in the house. We don't get shocks touching anything and I have a MK l that doesn't have that problem. There's been a lot of discussion about ground wires on the MK lll but that was for a hum problem which I don't have and this is a MK...- tdadawa

MP-D2 MK lll Deluxe relay drops out when touch anything on rack
I really like this dac, and would like to find a cure for this problem. The static electricity is very low with no spark but when I touch any piece of equipment or the metal rack, the relay in the MP-D2 MK lll deluxe drops out. I emailed Garry but he doesn't have a solution to this problem other...- tdadawa

MP-D2 is started to sound thin, no midrange or bass. Which tubes would you replace?
Tubes 1 and 3 are used for RCA output and you can leave two and four empty. If using XLR you need 4 matched tubes and capacitors.- tdadawa
