Thanks u Sir - I was thinking they had to be, coz otherwise they'd be freakin open IEM's lol...Yes, just design from what I can tell. Looks great in person.

Actually that would make sense, I'd forgotten about the DD...I thought it's a vent for the DD?

I'm curious the most about in-depth Pilgrim vs the Noir version comparisons the most. Anyone got them?

That means the Anni is not thay good if it is true. (Yup, I have already reviewed the DIVA 2023)On my book, the difference between Diva 23 and Anni 23 is negligible.

There’s a sizable gap between them from a technical standpoint.
I have tried a lot of what many consider the best TOTL IEMs around and I can say without hesitation that Anni is a spectacular IEM on many levels. I have bought and sold countless kilobuck and that is the one IEM I will not sell. Very few IEMs come close. I'm glad Elysian is bringing their chops to a new price bracket, but that does not equate to some magic trick that puts them on (or even near) the same level.
I do not want to mislead: diminisihing returns is real. Is it EIGHT TIMES better than a $400 IEM. Definitely not. But it's still in another league in my view.

These two seem to be a better comparison basis. The Gaea is still the more energetic and vocal-forward of the two yet the Pilgrim takes some of the smoothness of the Diva especially on the top end as well as not being borderline shouty (which the Gaea is at times especially with Spinfits). Both are fun, fun listens but the Gaea is still a tad more resolving though the timbre seems more correct with the Pilgrim. I also liked the Diva but didn't feel to get around purchasing it especially when it clips at higher volume levels with certain DAPs. Though outright, it's very difficult to do wrong getting the Pilgrim especially at this price. The tuning is never redundant with any other Chi-Fi flood in this tier.

Looks like the Pilgrim will deffo do well for the brand. I tend to use foam tips where possible, so I think from all I've read - I'd still lean to the thinner/detailed sound of the GAEA tbh.
Do you have any advice on a point of reference of the Moondrop S8, compared to the GAEA? I see from a graph, that they aren't oceans apart. I really liked the S8 tbh, but realise they were also a set that people either got on with, or didn't. I guess I ought to ask for this in the GAEA reviews section. Thanks for the opinions regardless!!
Fair play to you, well said. One of the worst feelings in the world is reading, saving, buying, and then using audio stuff that doesn't line up with reactions. It makes you feel sick to the core.I have tried a lot of what many consider the best TOTL IEMs around and I can say without hesitation that Anni is a spectacular IEM on many levels.
