Could be a bad cable. Also, if connected to a PC, make sure you have the latest BIOS installed on your motherboard.

i don't use the pc as a source, i use an ibasso dx220 i don't think there is a need to update the firmware, or should i update?

I never checked which formats exactly make the brief stutters happen. I will make sure to pay attention next time.

The firmware update only pertained to DSD issues (clicks or pops during silence). If it’s happening outside of playing (or upsampling to) DSD then it’s likely something else. Gustard and their dealers have had good customer service for any issues that have arisen. You may want to contact them if you can’t isolate it.

You need to check and see what firmware is installed on your unit. The original firmware had a few issues. There was a firmware update that occurred a few months ago, and this corrected several problems.
