Sadly the thing refuses to boot up now. Leave it for slow charge and hopefully tomorrow it will work. Else back to the shop for refund sigh.
Try holding the power button for 20 seconds.

Tried multiple times. It’s still stuck with totally black screen . The device is still taking in 5w of power but it’s totally black screen.

Sometimes a slow charge off a pc/laptop can help with random usb capable electronics. No idea if that will be relevant in this case. Luckily you are still near the store you got it at.

I'm going to guess it wasn't used much, so little so that the battery report system hasn't ever got to be calibrated. Similar to a new cellphone when you first get it.

I would also update the firmware next time it turns on, incase there was ever an update for this that passed some time ago (if it ever manages to turn on).

Try plugging it into a computer to charge it. Then while plugged in, try to power it on.

Any luck?

Last resort I can think of is using a hair dryer to loosen the glue of the backplate, pull it off and unplug the ribbon cable of the battery temporarily.

I refunded the device as the shop also don’t know what to do for it.

I’m in the 300Max club! Loving the sound. My only concern the amp battery 10% only gets me about 20 minutes. High gain and about 12 o’clock on the dial. Thoughts? Digital section only lost 2% in the same time with a decent amount of screen on time.

Sounds like you need a new battery set. You can get it from ibasso.

What would you say is normal? I had the DX220 Max back in the day and I feel like I charged the digital section more than the amp.

Yep, my amp batteries are going to need replacing soon as well. The DX300MAX doesn't disassemble as easily as the DX320MAX to get inside the device? Am I correct that the screen requires de-bonding?

I think it the back panel. A little heat should loosen the glue. Once the glue is soft, you use a plastic wedge to gently pry off the back. Maybe someone else had more info. As far as I know, you don’t need to touch the screen.

Someone had found a metal back panel at some point. Which you dont have to baby as much as the official glass one.

So I messed up. I had it backwards. The digital section was draining faster but I had a lot of screen on time and Ultimate Mode was on.

I retested. 80% on each battery to start . With Ultimate Mode off, after about an hour I lost 4% on the amp battery and 10% on the digital battery with almost no screen time. Is that about more normal? That would mean about 9-10 hours on the digital side. Also, I'm on M gain running my IE600.
