The balanced design initiates! Based on the KA1, the headphone output of the FiiO's new #Small USB DAC and Amplifier KA2# was changed to 4.4mm, while keeping uncompromising output power. The two expert CS43131 DAC chips were specially selected out of the top-tier DACs, which can accurately handle hi-res digital audio signals for up to 32bit/384kHz and DSD256. All are fitted in a compact body.

Excited to get more details on your upcoming product releases @FiiO. Will the M15S also be covered in the launch event? Will we see the re-introduction of AKM DACs into any of your upcoming products? Either way, good luck on the event.

LOL damn you guys have been pushing out products so fast!

Sorry for clarification, does that mean:

KA1 = 3.5 mm only
KA2 = 4.4 mm only
KA3 = 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm

Also a suggestion for future models, I know right now the only way to access "secret menu" is through the FiiO Android App. In the future if there's a way to implement a hardware button for low/high gain that would be great. So for laptop / desktop / Mac users we don't need to rely on Android phone to setup the device before we can use them.

Otherwise looking forward to it!

At a guess based on previous thread FiiO will be launching FF3 earphone, BTR7 bluetooth amp and M11S DAP models and possibly FW5 true wireless. M15S is due to be announced around August.

KA5? Damn FiiO is pushing the dongle game hard.....

Looking forward to it though LOL.
FiiO mentioned sometime ago that they felt that the mid range DAP market was basically dead and not profitable. This is likely why they are pushing the dongle game both wired and bluetooth hard, they mentioned in that same post a while ago that sonically a phone with a dongle could match a midrange to low end DAP. Personally looking forward to purchasing a BTR7 to replace my OG BTR5 :smiley:

Dear Backbeat,

Thanks for your interest in our product. No, the M15S will not be launched in this launch event.

Best regards

Hey Fiio, do you have a plan for a portable balance amp to pair with your daps or Qseries giving output enough to drive plannars?
As it will be really usefull device for daps like m11 plus, m15 or so you could use the balanced 4.4mm conector to pair them and if possible a dual amp options like having mini tube amps as well.
Do you feel like reviving the your old A series of amps?

Aren't they with the M11 Plus in the midrange?

At least in Germany it sells for 670€ which is pretty much midrange.

But maybe it's different in China

By low to midrange I think FiiO was implying and have subsequently stopped making the M9, M7, M6, M5, M3 etc. The M11 Plus in Australia at least retails for $1059 which makes it direct competitor to the Astell & Kern SR25 MKII at $1099 which is hardly low to midrange in terms of price at least but granted they are low range at least in their respective current line ups. I suspect the yet to be announced M11S will slot below the M11 Plus and the M15S between the M11 Plus and M17 giving FiiO 4 models in the line up.
