Tennessee - Center Hill Lake: Whiskey-Fi / Head-Fi Meet:
Whiskey, Headphones, and Friends!!! What more could you want!
This meet is open to everyone. I would appreciate that you post you are attending to get an idea of the head count for food and table space.

Date/Time: Saturday April 22, 2023, 10:30am CT and will last all night.

Location: 1847 Puckett Point Rd, Smithville, TN 37166
About an hour east of Nashville, 2 hours north of Chattanooga, 2 hours west of Knoxville

For the people coming from Kentucky on I65, I recommend exit 2 in KY, as before that, there are a lot more small curvy roads and you feel like you are driving in the country forever.

Parking: The house is on the left side of the road with a driveway that can hold up to 4 cars. Across the street there is a light blue garage, that is also mine, it has another 6-8 parking spaces, plus parking is available on the grass as needed (just past the house on the left side of the road and around the garage).

Lodging: You are welcome to stay here. Hotels are in Cookeville or Lebanon.

Food: Feel free to bring food to share.
Main menu: (to be updated as I make more decisions)
I'm thinking smoked Brisket for lunch.

Pizza in the evening
Salmon

Beverage: Feel free to bring beverages to share,
There will be Whiskey, Cachaça, Tequila, Mezcal, Gin, Beer, and more.

Vendors: We are open to vendors attending or sending equipment, please PM me.

Unless something happens, I'll be there. Sorry I missed the last one. I was recovering from a procedure. That whole month was just not ideal for me at all. But I'll try to make the next one.

New addition for the next meet, AKG K1000!

In 2005, when I joined Head-Fi, I bought and sold many of the popular headphones until I found the AKG K501. I fell in love with them. At that point I wanted to try the K1000, though financial means/logic held me back. Fast forward many years, now the MYSPHERE and RAAL headphones come out and reminded me of the K1000. After hearing the K1000 and comparing then with the RAAL and K501, I finally acquired a pair of my own. Compared to the K501, the K1000 has the gorgeous midrange that I love with the K501 and more of pretty much everything I look for in my systems.

After having the K1000 for a month, my quick impressions, via the Chord Mojo, I was quite impressed with how well the Mojo handled the K1000.
Via my office system, using the Pass Speaker taps, I enjoy the AKGs more than my Quads. Via the office system using the Dynahi, I enjoy the Dynahi more. This was a bit of a surprise as directly comparing these two amps is not easy.
