They're already calling this snowstorm "historic." I have already heard it called The "Weatherman's Day" snowstorm, "Snowpocalypse," and "Snowmageddon." Is it twenty-four hour news cycle exaggeration, or is it really that bad? Are you snowed-in? Are you listening to music?

Pictures?
We are well familiar with snow and cold weather over here, but I see how it can cause big problems in areas not used or prepared for it.

Yeah, it's pretty bad here in DE. A state of emergency has been declared since 8:00pm last night and hasn't been lifted as of yet. I work in a historic hotel as a bartender so it's been a good weekend so far. My hotel gives me a free room for the weekend so i'm definitely going to get cabin fever.

Cheers!

Im on LongIsland in NewYork, and we only have an inch or two here so far, but the snow warning is until 6:00pm and it is now only 12:33pm, so we will see what happens.

I am in NC and we have about 10" in most places. My dad was supposed to go to Washington DC tomorrow but they have 28" and are calling for another 8" and all of the airports are closed. It seems like farther north got the worst of it.

Accuweather is my favorite weather site...but that guy is crazy. I had 8" last weekend in SE Virginia. It's snowing currently and I will get some accumulation from the wrap around as the low pressure is centered just to the NE off the coast.

This intense weather pattern was predicted months ago at accuweather.
