Your BIGGEST headphone wish......

- Grado headphones with metal gimbals + detachable cables

- Lighter Audeze LCD headphones; an LCD headphone that goes for a truly treble-forward/detailed signature

- A Beyerdynamic T1.4 that sticks with a high-impedance design

- More 'straight down' cable high-end IEMs

I feel a bit mixed on the lower impedance of the T1.3 while technically the headphone is an upgrade over the T1.2 I would like to put the gen 3 on OTL amps. Wish they went with 250 Ohms on the T1.3 instead as that’s a nice middle ground.

Also wish for the next Beyer flagship to use a completely new driver design.

A new open-back Sennheiser between the HD 800 S and HD 660 S that uses a new driver and housing design.

Apart from the obvious "that everything would be significantly cheaper"

I go with
"That headphones in general had more Bass quantity"
For now I always hsve to EQ

Shure KSE that doesn't need the amp (normal headphone jack).

HD600 with sub bass.
The closest thing to that for me is an equalized HD58X. The sub bass is much improved, but it’s missing some of that midrange and treble smoothness of the 600. With EQ, you can get very close, and I actually like the upper midrange better on the 58X.

Other than that, my ultimate dream headphone would be something like an HE-500, but with Sennheiser mids and Focal dynamics.

I'm probably among the few that prefer the HE-500 mids over the HD600.

I'm with you on the Focal dynamics. Probably my biggest wish in the headphone is the comfort and size of the HD800, tonal balance and vocal timbre of the HE-500, Focal dynamics, and HD800 raw detail presentation.

Yeah, actually I do prefer the HE-500 upper mids to the 600, the 600 is a little too elevated and upfront (dare I say “shouty”, people will start yelling at me!) for my tastes nowadays. But I prefer the 58X/660S midrange presentation overall to all of the HD6XX variants, and Sennheiser vocals just sound better to me than the HE-500. With EQ and different pads, the HE-500 gets very close though.

-HD800s with more bass extension
-Focal Clear/Utopia with more soundstage
-Hifiman Susvara with more dynamics.

I guess it's almost imposible cause those designs achieve the excellence in some areas sacrificing other aspects.

That the success of Rall with ribbons encourages other outfits to jump in so we can have more choices, more improvements, and lower prices.

Rall makes the best tweeters - and so far the best ribbon headphones.

IMO, no Senn (under $10k) can touch modded/PEQ'd HE-500's on female vocals, also true for DCA estats. 600's do a heck of a job w/ pianos however.
