Bummer. Ever find out what it was, or just DOA?Well, had to return the Morpheus. I have a Denfrips Pontus II on the way instead. Hopefully it works and sounds great.
Everything seemed to work except the USB output. Input seemed to work, Optical worked, outputs worked from optical...just the USB wouldn't output. Very odd - even worked with Sonnet to try and fix it. No joy.Bummer. Ever find out what it was, or just DOA?
Naw, I'm good. Too pricey and too long of a wait and too...much of me not caring. You should've waited for the hyped FOTM Laiv Harmony DAC
Interesting. So disappointing when you receive something that doesn't work. Ah well, hopefully another DAC comes alongEverything seemed to work except the USB output. The Pontus II is an amazing DAC. I think you’ll love the combo!Well, had to return the Morpheus. I have a Denfrips Pontus II on the way instead. Hopefully it works and sounds great.
Pontus II should be here tomorrowInteresting. So disappointing when you receive something that doesn't work. Ah well, hopefully another DAC comes along
I'm glad to hear it. The reviews are glowing to say the least and I didn't want another Qutest despite how good they are.The Pontus II is an amazing DAC. I think you’ll love the combo!
You used to own the Qutest? What didn't you like about it?I'm glad to hear it. The reviews are glowing to say the least and I didn't want another Qutest despite how good they are.
I briefly owned the Pontus II, and loved what I heard. I only sold it because it took up too much space and (according to Denafrips) doesn't like having both XLR and RCA outputs plugged in at the same time. But I can only imagine the epic-ness the Pendant will take on with the Pontus as a source.
I liked the Qutest. It's described as a touch sharp by some, but I didn't really have that issue. My bigger issue was that it's not really designed for streaming 95% of what I listened to as the time was streaming. In retrospect, I should have just kept it it is a great little box, though the looks are a bit garish. You used to own the Qutest? What didn't you like about it?

Well, the Pontus came in and so did a set of Vanatoo One Plus desktop speakers. The Pontus to Pendant to Vanatoo One speakers is an amazing combination. Absolutely brilliant.
Current endgame, though I am waiting on my set of Tunsgrams EL84s to come in.

Besides Pontus and Pendant are gateway drugs (I owned both at one point)
Well, I've had all manner of stuff and this is the first setup I've been content with in a long time. Those Vanatoo speakers are epic. They make the Susvara feel obsolete.Endgame is a myth

Those preferred series EL84’s look slick. I’ll be curious to hear how they compare with the Tungsrams.

Me too. Current setup is excellent. I can highly recommend the Vanatoo for anyone looking for a desktop setup and they're relatively cheap too. Those preferred series EL84’s look slick. I’ll be curious to hear how they compare with the Tungsrams.
